Accountant -Audit Senior

KVLSM LLP is a rapidly growing mid-sized CPA firm in Nassau County seeking a full-time Senior Audit Accountant with 5+ years of CPA firm experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform audits, reviews and compilations for clients in various industries
• Coordinate the day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork and wrap-up including engagement letter preparation, reconciling cash, bank, and other assets as well as vouching expenses and income.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and evaluate internal controls
• Act as client contact; communicate effectively with clients and develop positive relationships with client personnel
• Prepare business entity tax returns for various industries
• Developing analytical reports for variances in income and expense reports

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and budget
• Organized and Detail oriented
• Strong work ethic
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Professional behavior: Works effectively in a team environment
• QuickBooks, Knowledge of Ultra Tax Preferred

Education and Experience:

• B.S. in Accounting, CPA a plus
• 5+ years of recent CPA firm experience
• Strong understanding of accounting and reporting standards
• Prior experience in researching as it relates to accounting and audit issues
• Prior tax preparation experience a plus but not required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Use of CCH ProSystem Fx Engagement and PPC SMART Practice Aids a plus but not required

Senior Accountant-Tax

KVLSM LLP is searching for a motivated full time experienced tax accountant with recent CPA firm experience. We are a rapidly expanding Nassau County CPA firm that is known for providing superior accounting and tax services to our clients.

We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant with the following general requirements:

• 5+ years of recent CPA firm experience
• Bachelor’s Degree
• CPA license a plus
• Experience planning, preparing, and reviewing corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns. Trust & estate tax returns are a plus.
• Demonstrate capability to multi-task effectively and skills to work well under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
• Must be reliable with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Team player with excellent customer relation skills
• Expertise in managing client accounts with significant client contact
• Maintain thorough, current knowledge of complex tax and business concepts
• Knowledge of UltraTax preferred
